BREAKING: White to depart United

Melbourne United star Jack White has declined his player option with the club, sending him to the free agency market as he explores opportunities overseas.

White was part of United’s squad that went to the Championship Series in NBL25, averaging 13.3 points and 8.9 rebounds a game.

He won an NBA championship with the Denver Nuggets in 2023 and an NBL championship with United in 2021. 

“Melbourne United will always be a special place for me, it's my home away from home in Australia and the NBL,” White told the club’s website. 

“Over the next few months I'll be assessing my playing options internationally to determine what is the best next move for my career.”

Flynn Option and United have mutually declined his option for NBL27, while Akech Aliir has had his club option declined.
