Injury Update: Melbourne sweats on Ili

Melbourne United guard Shea Ili will face a game-time fitness test ahead of Game 5 of the Championship Series, the club has confirmed.

Ili has missed the last two games in the series due to concussion symptoms, after copping a knock in Game 2, and his availability is vital to United's chances of a win in Wollongong. 

United tweeted: "Shea Ili (concussion symptoms) will be a game-time fitness test for Game 5 of the Championship Series on Sunday afternoon. An update will be provided ahead of the game."

Ili was announced as the Defensive Player of the Year at the league's MVP Awards in February. 

The Hawks are hoping Trey Kell III (knee) will take his place in the starting lineup, while Sam Froling has been sidelined with a serious achilles injury.

Illawarra hosts Melbourne on Sunday at 2.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN, 10 and 10 Play.
