Boomers squad cut to 13

The Australian Boomers have cut two point guards.

The Australian Boomers FIBA World Cup squad has been trimmed to 13, with point guards Matthew Dellavedova and William McDowell-White cut from the roster.

The 13-man squad will compete in three warm-up games next week in Melbourne, which will help determine the final 12-man team that heads to the World Cup later this month.

In further news, Jock Landale has suffered a rolled ankle and will likely miss the games in Melbourne, but is expected to make a full recovery and head to the World Cup.

The three warm-up games against Venezuela, Brazil and South Sudan will take place at Rod Laver Arena on August 14, 16 and 17.
