Boomers complete final preps

Australia has wrapped up its World Cup preparations with a win.

The Boomers have overcome a scare from the 32nd-ranked Georgia, to claim a five-point win on Tuesday night, Australian time.

It was Australia's final exhibition game ahead of the FIBA World Cup, which starts on Friday, and comes off the back of an impressive win against France on Sunday.

Brian Goorjian's team led by 17 points after the third quarter, but had to hold off a fast-finishing Georgia side, to claim an 86-81 win.

The Boomers take on Finland in their opening World Cup game on Friday night, from 6pm AEST. All Australian games will be live on ESPN.
