Friday, August 30, 2024
It's been a flawless start to the Wildcats' pre-season, with another big win on Friday.
The Perth Wildcats have started their Japanese tour in style, claiming a 64-point win over the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins on Friday.
With several key players missing, including Bryce Cotton and new recruit Dylan Windler, the Wildcats went at an impressive 58 per cent, on 18-of-31 from the three-point line.

They shot at 64 per cent overall from the field, with the likes of Dontae Russo-Nance, Ben Henshall, Elijah Pepper and Michael Harris all benefitting from extended court-time.
Henshall finished with 22 points to lead all comers, while Harris had 17.
Nominated replacement player Todd Withers, who played with the Adelaide 36ers in the NBL22 season, finished with 11 points.
Next Star Izan Almansa also showed plenty to suggest he'll be another NBL success story, excelling on the defensive end and showing his versatility with a big dunk and three during the third quarter. He had 11 points on the day.
The Wildcats' 117-53 win follows their two victories over the NBL1 West Select Team last week, continuing a flawless pre-season campaign so far.
Next up, Perth will take on the Chiba Jets, coached by five-time championship coach Trevor Gleeson. The game will be on Monday at 3pm AEST.
