Owner labels Goulding “weak”

There’s certainly no love lost between South East Melbourne Phoenix and Melbourne United but things have gone to a new level.

Following a physical and gritty Throwdown on Sunday which the Phoenix prevailed by 9, their owner Romie Chaudhari went after Chris Goulding on X, labelling the United star “weak”.

Chaudhari was responding to a clip of Goulding tangled up with Phoenix centre Jordan Hunter under the ring during an attempted rebound after which he crashed to the floor in pain. Hunter received a common foul, but Goulding remained visibly upset.

Chaudhari ended the Tweet with: “Great win for SEM, they earned it, so proud of the effort, way to keep fighting!!”
