Momentum builds for All-Star return

"I’ve never been part of an All-Star game ... I think fans would really enjoy that."

As the buzz continues to build around the potential return for an NBL All-Star game, Illawarra Hawks star Tyler Harvey is all for the idea.

“I think it’s a great idea,” Harvey said on NBL Now.

“I’ve never been part of an All-Star game ... I think fans would really enjoy that.

“You get guys competing at the highest level against each other, I’m definitely not opposed to that.”

There hasn’t been an All-Star weekend since the 2013 NBL season and after Derek Rucker's comments last week, the push to bring it back continues to build momentum.

“It’s the perfect time,” Rucker said on NBL Now last week.

With ideas constantly being thrown around about how a new version of the game would look, the idea of 'Australia vs World' is one that many fans believe should be considered, if it happens.

“I think fans would be highly interested in watching essentially the Australians take on the internationals,” Rucker added.

That poses a unique proposition Harvey, as he continues his pursuit to naturalise here in Australia.

“I guess I can go both sides,” Harvey added when deciding what team he would play for.

“(Citizenship) is in the process. It’s not as easy as one might seem, but it’s definitely in the flow and the process has all started.

“Looking forward to hopefully have that one day.”
