“HoopsFest will be the ultimate fan experience and the Fan Zone adds another incredible element."

Perth will be transformed into a hoop lover’s dream in September when the HoopsFest Fan Zone opens at Forrest Place.

Running across HoopsFest from September 19-22, the Fan Zone will be a can’t miss event that brings the culture and entertainment of basketball to life in a fun and engaging way.

“HoopsFest will be the ultimate fan experience and the Fan Zone adds another incredible element to a weekend that will be unforgettable,” NBL Chief Fans, Club and Strategy Officer Anthony Everard said.

“With a wide and diverse range of touchpoints available to fans at HoopsFest, we are certain memories will be made in several ways while engaging with the NBL, WNBL, and everything in between.

“We thank the City of Perth for their co-operation in helping bring the Fan Zone to life, while also thanking the Western Australian Government for their overarching support for HoopsFest.”

“What an honour for Perth to host the nation’s very first HoopsFest – an epic celebration of basketball and the 150 players who are gathering from all over Australia and New Zealand,” City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas said.

“The City is thrilled to support the free Fan Zone giving everyone in Perth the opportunity to get swept up in basketball fever. NBL and WNBL fans will be spoilt for choice with food trucks, entertainment and even the world’s rarest shoes will be on show at Sneakerland.”

“The upcoming HoopsFest Fan Zone is a great way to celebrate all things basketball and take in everything that Australia’s largest ever basketball festival has to offer,” WA Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti said.

“From pickup games to meeting real NBL/WNBL stars, the Fan Zone is guaranteed to be scoring points across the board with local and out-of-state visitors.

“HoopsFest is yet another exclusive blockbuster event the WA Government has secured to cement our state’s reputation as the fastest growing events destination in the South East Asia region.”

HoopsFest is a multi-day extravaganza that promises to be an unforgettable experience featuring Round 1 of the Hungry Jack’s NBL season, a Cygnett WNBL Tournament, the Foot Locker U18 Australian Club Championships, the interactive Fan Zone, the world famous Sneakerland exhibition, sets from award-winning DJ Hayden James, as well as music, food and loads of other entertainment.
