Too hot to handle: Coach's huge Cotton praise

Bryce Cotton's 148 points in just three games is simply out of this world.

If you haven’t been witness to Bryce Cotton’s incredible recent form, perhaps Adelaide coach Mike Wells summed it up best.

“He’s the hottest player on the planet right now.”

Wells had a front row seat to the Cotton show on Sunday afternoon, and while Kendric Davis put in a brilliant performance for the 36ers, the four-time MVP is simply on another level right now.

“It’s remarkable what Bryce has done,” Wells said.

148 points in just three games is simply out of this world, with tallies of 59, 40 and 49 in the space of a single week.

It's a feat that hasn't been achieved since 1991, by the man labelled the GOAT, Andrew Gaze.

“Bryce is on an all-time heater at the moment,” Derek Rucker said.

“It’s the greatest offensive display over the course of two rounds that I believe we’ve ever seen.”

According to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc, “multiple NBA teams are following Cotton’s play closely”, while Wildcats owner Mark Arena says the club has offered their star man a deal that reflects “the best player in the NBL” and “providing a platform to be the undisputed greatest NBL player of all time”.

At 32 years of age, it’s quite amazing what Cotton is doing, and for NBL fans, it’s simply must-watch basketball.

Just what will Bryce do next? We can't wait to find out.

Mark your calendars. Saturday, 8pm AEDT. Cairns v Perth. Live on ESPN.
