“High possibility” I’m back: Harrell

Adelaide 36ers superstar Montrezl Harrell has confirmed his interest in returning to the NBL next season.

Harrell joined the 36ers on the eve of the campaign and has quickly become one of the best players in the competition, with his high-energy style of play helping him earn a spot on the All-NBL Second Team.

In an interview at the Andrew Gaze MVP Awards Night, Harrell revealed he could be back next season.

“I’ve had a conversation with my agent definitely about the upcoming rest of this year and next year,” Harrell said.

“It’s definitely been a great year for me in this league, it’s been a lot of fun to actually be out here and just experience it.

“I think it’s a high possibility to be back here, if my NBA chances are where we see fit.”

Also expressing his interest in the NBL is former NBA star Lance Stephenson, and Harrell said he has been in conversations with him.

“I posted the other day talking about the competition with Lance, and him saying he wants to play and I’ve had a conversation with him…you never know,” Harrell said.

Harrell and the 36ers will face the Sydney Kings in a do-or-die Play-In Qualifier on Thursday night at 7:30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
