"Most of League" Chasing Cairns Star

In-demand free agent Bul Kuol is being chased by “a lot of teams” across the NBL, according to ESPN newsbreaker Olgun Uluc.

While the 2022 Rookie of the Year is a top priority for the South East Melbourne Phoenix, they have plenty of competition for his signature.

“I’m told that the first name or one of the bigger names that they (the Phoenix) will be chasing is Bul Kuol. He’s sort of right now priority number one for the Phoenix. The Phoenix are going really hard at him,” Uluc told The Marketplace.

“He’s a name that a lot of teams are chasing right now. He’s right around a marquee-able player, he’s maybe not at the same level as a Luke Travers or McDowell-White or Keanu Pinder, but he's right on the edge of that. Most of the league is involved with Bul Kuol.

“The Sydney Kings have a really strong eye on Bul Kuol too, the Illawarra Hawks put forward an offer for Bul Kuol. I’m told the Taipans do want him back. Whether they can afford him is a different story. The New Zealand Breakers reached out to him. I’m told the Perth Wildcats are of interest in him too.”

Kuol averaged 10.4 points this season and was an elite defender for the Taipans.
