The Tasmania JackJumpers have added vital experience to their roster, securing the signature of 199-game NBL veteran Anthony Drmic.

The 31-year-old averaged 10.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists a game across NBL23, lining up on 25 occasions for the Adelaide 36ers.

He joins the club on a one-year deal.

“I'm thrilled to be joining the JackJumpers and can't wait to get started with the team,” Drmic said.

“Tasmania is a fantastic state and I'm excited about the opportunity to play in front of the passionate Tasmanian fans.

“It’s no secret I want to win a championship before I retire, and I believe Tassie are on the cusp of something really special. I want to be a part of that.

“I feel like the JackJumpers' work ethic and culture is something that will really suit me and I’m excited by what we can build down there.”

Drmic is the first signing for the JackJumpers during the Free Agency period, following the departures of Matt Kenyon, Sam McDaniel and Isaac White.

“From the outside, the JackJumpers seemed like such a family club and speaking to Scott (Roth), the staff and players has only reaffirmed that so I’m excited that Jenna and Levi (Drmic's wife and son) will be on this journey with me and feel it’s the right fit for us,” he said.

Drmic joins Jack McVeigh, Will Magnay, Fabijan Krslovic, Clint Steindl, Jarred Bairstow and Sean Macdonald on the JackJumpers' roster for the NBL24 season.
