Henshall Stars in NBA Academy Games Opener

Ben Henshall has opened his NBA Academy Games in style.

Perth Wildcats guard Ben Henshall has guided the Centre of Excellence to the perfect start at the NBA Academy Games with a match-leading 20-point performance.

The CoE defeated the NBA Academy Latin America by 20 points in its opening fixture of the NBA Academy Games, and will next play the NBA Academy Africa – Blue team.

Henshall scored a game-high 20 points off the back of an impressive 10-14 shooting performance, where he only missed one shot from two-point range. He also grabbed a solitary rebound, assist and steal.

The NBA Academy Games is a series of exhibition matches that features the top international basketball prospects from outside the United States and features eight teams.

Henshall has been a standout for the Centre of Excellence in NBL1 East this season, and has averaged almost 17.8 points, 5.2 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game in the conference.
