Kendric Davis and DJ Vasiljevic led the Adelaide 36ers to a big NBL Blitz win over the Tasmania JackJumpers.

Kendric Davis and DJ Vasiljevic look ready to have plenty of fun together in the Adelaide 36ers back court in NBL25 after leading the Sixers to a 96-64 win over the Tasmania JackJumpers at the NBL Blitz.

It was a first hit out on the Gold Coast for the 36ers and they put in a tremendous showing including Davis and Vasiljevic combining for 37 points in the back court in a 32-point romp against the defending champions.

The 36ers were making their first appearance at the Blitz with new coach Mike Wells in charge for the first time and even without the injured Jarell Martin, they started on fire scoring the game's opening 11 points.

From there they ended up leading 22-5 and 31-15 by the end of the first quarter, and maintained that edge to head into the half-time break on top 49-37.

There was a lot to like from the 36ers with Kendric Davis having 13 points while DJ Vasiljevic, Jason Cadee and Sunday Dech combined for 25 while Milton Doyle had 13 for the JackJumpers.

The Sixers then blew the game right out in the third quarter with 24 points to 14 and would end up leading by as much as 35 on the way to the 32-point win.

Vasiljevic finished with 22 points in the win for Adelaide while Davis might have only shot at 5/15, but looked exciting for 15 points and five assists.

Jason Cadee will bring up his 400-game milestone early this season and had 14 points and three assists with 3/5 from downtown while Lat Mayen contributed 10 points and five rebounds, and Olympian Sunday Dech seven points and seven boards.

It was a rough offensive outing for Tasmania going just 32 per cent from the field with 7/30 from downtown with Milton Doyle putting up 16 points and three assists.

New import Craig Sword showed encouraging signs in just 10 minutes for 10 points on 4/7 shooting with Walter Brown adding eight points and eight boards, and Reuben Te Rangi seven points, four rebounds and three assists.

It's the last game at the Blitz for the JackJumpers who will now head to Singapore to play in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup first up against Argentinian club Quimsa on Friday.

The 36ers continue at the Blitz against the New Zealand Breakers on Wednesday and South East Melbourne Phoenix on Friday.
