"Kendric was someone we highlighted early on in the recruitment process, we really like his game."

The Adelaide 36ers have secured Kendric Davis as their import point guard for the NBL25 season, after a patient search across the globe.

GM of Basketball Operations Matt Weston said the club had targeted Davis as a potential addition since "early in their recruitment process", and were delighted to land his signature.

“We really like his game, and we think he’s a great fit for our roster,” Weston said.

After going undrafted in 2023, Davis joined the Golden State Warriors for the 2023 NBA Summer League and then joined the Santa Cruz Warriors, where he was named on the NBA G-League All-Rookie Team.

The 180-centimetre point guard played five years of College basketball, transferring to Memphis for his senior year, where he averaged 21.9 points, 5.4 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game.

Davis said the chance to play in the NBL and to lead a team will be a fresh challenge for his career and is eager to see the possibilities NBL25 can bring.

“I’m excited to get to work with a great organisation, great ownership, great coaches and teammates,” Davis said.

“We want to make all the fans proud and hopefully we can work towards the ultimate goal and put on a show.

“I’m grateful for this opportunity and I can’t wait to get to Adelaide.”
