The Perth Wildcats have added two-time Puerto Rican champion Kristian Doolittle to their side for NBL24.

The Perth Wildcats have rounded out their NBL24 roster on the eve of the season, adding import forward Kristian Doolittle to their ranks.

Doolittle has played professionally in Japan, Puerto Rico, Israel and the NBA G-League, following his four-year collegiate career at Oklahoma, and has two Baloncesto Superior Nacional titles in Puerto Rico with Vaqueros de Bayamon.

The 25-year-old has joined Bryce Cotton and Jordan Usher as the Wildcats’ final import, and head coach John Rillie believes the 201-centimetre forward adds another dimension to both ends of the court for Perth.

“Obviously we took our time and wanted to do our due diligence with the off-season we’ve had to date,” Rillie said.

“We just feel Kristian’s ability to rebound, defend multiple positions – and then his skillset offensively – fits into what we need and will make us a better team.”

“Kristian is an exciting addition to our current roster and will bring a high level of positional size, athleticism and versatility to our frontcourt,” Wildcats General Manager of Basketball Operations Danny Mills added.

“He’ll provide a physical presence on the glass at both ends, and offensively his ability to be a connector as a playmaker as well as a scorer from both the perimeter and around the basket is what we were targeting in this position.”

The Wildcats open their season with a home clash against Tasmania on Friday, September 29.
