Melbourne United coach Dean Vickerman has revealed the club is keying in on stopping MiKyle McIntosh in the Semi-Final series against Tasmania JackJumpers.
Some of McIntosh’s best performances of the season have come against Melbourne. He recorded 16 points in February’s win in Melbourne and last weekend against United he had 20 points.
It has forced Vickerman to shine the light on the Canadian in film sessions.
“McIntosh has been really good against us in the last two games, and it's one that we've spent a bit of time on trying to work out,” Vickerman said.
“Is it a power forward that matches up with him better? Is it a centre that matches up with him better?
“He has an ability to put it on the floor, he started to shoot the three a little bit better. He's one of those mismatch problems.
“We've spent a bit more time on that one and making sure that we can contain him.”
Game one between Melbourne and Tasmania tips-off at 7:30pm AEST tomorrow at John Cain Arena. The game will be broadcast on ESPN and Kayo Freebies.
