Taipans upgrade exciting prospect

The Cairns Taipans have rewarded Alex Higgins-Titsha for an exciting debut season, elevating the forward to a full roster spot. 

Higgins-Titsha was given an opportunity due to injuries to key players throughout the NBL25 campaign, impressing with 6.2 points and 3.9 rebounds a game in 18 appearances.

He had six games in double-figure scoring, including a 15-point effort against Tasmania in the Taipans’ final fixture of the season. 

The 24-year-old won the Coaches Award during Cairns’ end-of-season awards, praised for his work ethic and hunger to improve. 

Most recently, he travelled to Singapore as a member of the Gangurrus’ 3x3 Asia Cup roster. 

The Taipans are on the search for a new coach following the departure of Adam Forde at the conclusion of the season.
