The second-year mutual option on Izayah Le'afa's contract has been declined.

Izayah Le'afa is set to hit the free agency market after the Sydney Kings announced the second-year mutual option on his contract has been declined.

Le'afa appeared in 30 matches for the Kings this season and averaged 3.7 points, 2.0 assists and 1.9 rebounds across 19.4 minutes per game.

The 28-year-old has previously played for the South East Melbourne Phoenix and New Zealand Breakers, with his best campaign coming in 2022/23 when he posted 10.8 points per game.

The free agency period begins on Friday, April 4.
