The Adelaide 36ers have locked away exciting local guard Nick Marshall until 2026
The Adelaide 36ers have locked away exciting local guard Nick Marshall until 2026, with the development player set to join the main roster from next season onwards.
Marshall – who was a member of the Boomers squad for the recent FIBA qualifiers against Bahrain and Kazakhstan – has been on the 36ers’ roster for the past two seasons.
The 23-year-old has played 33 games in his NBL career and averaged 4.5 points per game during NBL23.
He also averaged 21.5 points and 8.6 rebounds for Mt Gambier in NBL1 last season.
“It’s pretty cool to be able to play in the NBL at home with the team I grew up supporting,” Marshall said.
“I want to improve everyday and the process I’ve been doing will continue – just keep doing what I have been doing.”
Head coach CJ Bruton says he sees Marshall as playing a huge role in the development of the 36ers in the coming seasons.
“I see Nick Marshall as a big piece to the future of the Adelaide 36ers,” he said.
“He has gone from a DP to starting in the NBL, and was also on the main roster for times throughout last season.
“From what I have seen since I’ve been at the club Nick works on his game a lot and that work ethic has seen these results.
“What we have seen with Nick, he’s only going to get better.”
