REPORT: Kings secure Oliver NBL return

Wednesday, June 5, 2024
Cam Oliver has reportedly signed a one-year deal with the Sydney Kings.
ESPN’s Olgun Uluc has reported the Sydney Kings have signed former Cairns Taipans star Cam Oliver to a one-year deal.
Oliver was named to the All-NBL Second Team in 2020 and eventually departed the Taipans to pursue an NBA opportunity with the Houston Rockets.
He formed a fearsome import trio alongside Scott Machado and DJ Newbill whilst at the Taipans, and most recently played with Chinese side Zhejiang Lions alongside new South East Melbourne signing Derrick Walton Jr.
Oliver would be the first import signing of head coach Brian Goorjian’s second stint at the club, and would follow the likes of former NBL MVP Xavier Cooks and fellow ex-Taipan Bul Kuol to Goorjian’s new-look Kings project.
