The Tasmania JackJumpers have secured the re-signing of forward Fabijan Krslovic, who has inked a new two-year deal with the club.

Krslovic crossed to Tasmania ahead of the side’s inaugural season in the NBL after three seasons at the Cairns Taipans.

He appeared in all 28 of the JackJumpers’ regular season games in NBL23 and averaged a career-high 5.3 points per game on 47.6 per cent shooting as he filled a crucial backup big role behind the likes of Will Magnay, Jack McVeigh and Rashard Kelly.

“I’m really excited to stay in Tassie and continue to build on the success of the first two years of the JackJumpers,” Krslovic said.

“Tasmania is home now, and I wanted to continue to represent the amazing people here both out on the floor and in the community.

“It’s great to be able to have two years locked away to really strive to bring a championship to Tassie.”

“Fab is an integral part of our on-court performance,” acting JackJumpers co-CEO Jorrick Chivers added.

“Maybe more importantly he’s a great role model and person to have in the community representing this club.

“He lives the values of this club and we’re really proud to have him on board for a further two years.”

In addition to the re-signing of Krslovic, the JackJumpers have announced guard Sam McDaniel has declined the player option in his contract for NBL24.

McDaniel was the first ever player to be contracted to the club, and he scored Tasmania’s first ever points at MyState Bank Arena.

“We wish Sam and his family all the very best for the future,” Chivers said. “They’ll always be valued members of the JackJumpers family and the history of the club.”
