Kings Sweat on Star Import

The Sydney Kings will be sweating on the fitness of star import Derrick Walton Jr, after he jammed his ankle during the win over the Tasmania JackJumpers.

Sydney takes on South East Melbourne on Wednesday night, with Walton Jr having scored 45 points when the teams last met.

But he may be missing from the return leg at Qudos Bank Arena.

"I'll ice it and see how I go," Walton Jr told Newscorp.

"If I don't play Wednesday, I'll definitely be back for Saturday's game against Perth."

Walton Jr has been a key inclusion for the Kings this season, averaging 16.5 points and 6.6 assists across NBL23 so far.
