JackJumpers add developing talents

Wednesday, August 21, 2024
The Tasmania JackJumpers have signed young Aussie talents, Archie Woodhill and Nick Stoddart on one-year deals.
The Tasmania JackJumpers have added two familiar faces to their NBL25 lineup, securing the signatures of former Sydney Kings DP Archie Woodhill, and NBL1 star Nicholas Stoddart.
Woodhill spent two seasons at the Kings between 2020-2023, while Stoddart played for the NBL1 South's runners-up, the Ballarat Miners in their most recent campaign.
JackJumpers' General Manager of Basketball Operations, Mika Vukona said the pair will benefit heavily from the University of Tasmania (ITAS) Athlete Development Program - a holistic initiative designed to support their growth both on and off the court.
"We're extremely proud to integrate Archie and Nick into our roster and the UTAS Athlete Development Program," Vukona said.
"This program is something we’ve been working hard to develop, as it provides a parallel pathway for our players to grow as individuals while they pursue their basketball careers. It's about preparing them for life beyond basketball, ensuring they have the skills and education to thrive in any arena."
Woodhill and Stoddart will join Brody Nunn for the 2024-25 season as the JackJumpers' Development Players.
Tasmania's NBL25 campaign tips-off on September 19 at HoopsFest, in a Championship Series rematch against Melbourne United.
