Hawks v United Championship Series set

They’ve been the two best teams all season and now the Illawarra Hawks and Melbourne United will meet in the Championship Series to decide the 2025 NBL Champions.  

Game one of the best-of-five series will take place on Saturday night at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Illawarra, at 8:00pm AEDT live on ESPN.

The Hawks punched their ticket to the Championship Series after smashing the South East Melbourne Phoenix, 126-96, in game three of the Playoffs on Wednesday night. United outlasted the Perth Wildcats in an epic three-game series in their Playoff clash.  

Illawarra finished on top of the ladder for the first time in franchise history and will now look to win its second championship and first since 2001. Melbourne is out for revenge after losing last season’s Championship Series, hoping to claim its first title since 2021.  

With the Hawks’ All-NBL big three of Trey Kell III, Tyler Harvey and Sam Froling set to battle United’s star core four of Chris Goulding, Matthew Dellavedova, Ian Clark and Jack White, it promises to be a Championship Series for the ages.
