Monday, March 10, 2025
"Any time you have the opportunity to be involved in an Australian national program, it’s a real privilege and honour."
Former Cairns Taipans coach Adam Forde is set for a new challenge, taking on the role as interim head coach for the men’s international 3x3 team.
Forde will be in charge for the next two international tournaments.
“I’m excited about the upcoming tournaments, and any time you have the opportunity to be involved in an Australian national program, it’s a real privilege and honour.”
Four-time NBL champion Greg Hire will be assistant coach.
Meanwhile, Damon Lowery will continue his role as head coach of the women’s Gangurrus’ team, having led the side during the 2024 Asia Cup and Olympic campaigns.
The Gangurrus won gold at the Asia Cup in both the men’s and women’s tournaments.
“It’s an honour and a privilege to be reappointed as Head Coach of the Gangurrus, and I’m looking forward to all the challenges this sport provides,” Lowery said.
Hannah Lowe will join the women’s program as assistant coach.
