Melbourne United’s Mason Peatling says he’s welcoming the chance to explore the free agent market

Melbourne United’s Mason Peatling says he’s welcoming the chance to explore the free agent market this off-season, with the out of contract forward “open to listening” to any opportunity.

Peatling, who recently suited up for the Boomers and will be representing the Knox Raiders in the upcoming NBL1 South season, also hasn’t ruled out the potential for another stint in Melbourne.

“It’s been awesome at United for the past three years, but I’m a free agent and I’m excited to see what that involves, and excited to see what opportunities are around,” Peatling told News Corp.

“I’m open to listening to any opportunity that’s put in front of me.

“(Coach) Deano’s (Vickerman) been great. I had a great time with him with the Boomers recently, but they’ve got a wide-open roster and will do things sequentially.”

Peatling has played 87 games with Melbourne United over the course of his NBL career.
