The New Zealand Breakers have signed Tacko Fall until the end of NBL26.

After the exit of Freddie Gillespie, the New Zealand Breakers have signed former NBA player Tacko Fall through to the end of the 2025-26 season.

Fall has been training with the club since their NBLxNBA trip to the USA, and will now suit up for the team who is sitting 2nd on the ladder with a 7-3 record.

“I’m honoured to have the opportunity to play for the Breakers. New Zealand has a great basketball culture, and the fans here are incredible. I’m ready to give my all for this team," Fall said.

The 7'6" center has previously played for the NBA's Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers.

“Tacko is a game-changer. His size, shot-blocking ability and rebounding give him a unique edge,” Breakers CEO Lisa Edser said.

“Beyond the court, he’s a team-first player with an incredible work ethic. He has been working hard to get playing fit, and we are pleased to see him fully integrated into our squad.”
