"We are in talks right now to hopefully make this a long term home."

Wildcats star Kristian Doolittle is hopeful he can make Perth his long-term home as he prepares to hit the free agency market.

Doolittle has emerged as one of the Wildcats’ most important players over the past two seasons and the 27-year-old has spoken positively about continuing his NBL career.

“Perth has been great to me and my family. We are in talks right now to hopefully make this a long term home - whatever the maximum is they can offer,” Doolittle told The West Australian’s The Dribble Podcast.

“I didn’t know the NBL has the following that is does until I became a part of the NBL. It’s been cool. I am definitely grateful for the situation.”

Doolittle added “stability” is very important to him, and he is happy to hold off negotiations until the end of the season.

Doolittle and the Wildcats face the South East Melbourne Phoenix on Friday night at 9:30pm AEDT live on ESPN.
