Tahjere McCall – 15.5 points, 8.5 assists, 4 steals per game | 50 SuperCoach points per game
Cairns wing Tahjere McCall created his own slice of NBL history in Cairns’ Saturday night win over Adelaide. He became the first player in the 40-minute era to register 15 points and 15 assists in a game, and just the second player to register 15 assists in a game.

The only other player to do so was Melbourne’s Nate Tomlinson in NBL14 – which was incidentally also against Adelaide.

McCall has been on fire since returning to Australia following the birth of his child, and although it took him a few games to get up and running off the back of that life-changing few days, he’s absolutely electric at the moment.

He has 12 points and six boards before fouling out against the Kings to open the round, but his historic performance against the 36ers – and the fact he registered eight steals across the two games – saw him end the round with more SuperCoach points than any other player in the competition.

Alan Williams – 21 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists | 46 SuperCoach points per game
Alan Williams was at his saucy best in South East Melbourne’s emotional Round 10 win over Sydney. Although he wasn’t in triple-double territory like he was last week, it was the type of traditional buckets and boards performance we’ve come to expect from one of the best bigs in the NBL.

Williams took on the double-headed monster of Jonah Bolden and Jordan Hunter and dominated. So much so, in fact, that he hit his third three-pointer of the season.

South East Melbourne has established itself as a middle of the road offensive rebounding side this season, and if it weren’t for Williams they could well be in the doldrums in that category. Five of his 15 rebounds came on the offensive end, and with the Phoenix outscoring the Kings 17-6 in second chance points, his ability to crash the glass was crucial in the 10-point victory.

Mitch Creek – 33 points, 3 rebounds, 1 block | 44 SuperCoach points per game
When the going gets tough, the Phoenix look to Mitch Creek. It’s been that way since the club entered the NBL and, if he continues to play like he does, it’ll be like that for the foreseeable future.

It seems that whenever South East Melbourne is lacking something in a close game, it’s Creek who steps up and delivers the category they need. Need boards? Creek will crash. Someone’s on fire? Creek will find him. On this occasion the Phoenix needed someone to fill the scoring breach left by Will Cummings and, lo and behold, it was Mitch Creek.

Those 33 points is the third highest of Creek’s already storied NBL career, and smashed his previous NBL24 record of 26 points which, funnily enough, was set just the week before.

DJ Vasiljevic – 30 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists | 44 SuperCoach points per game
If there’s one thing to take away from Adelaide’s defeat to Cairns in Round 10, it’s that Scott Ninnis looks like he wants the 36ers to start really pushing the pace on offence – and that will only benefit a volume shooter like DJ Vasiljevic.

The two-time NBL champion was at his absolute best in the first three quarters of the defeat, and scored a season-high 30 points through a series of exceptional moves to get to the basket.

A recurring criticism of Vasiljevic this season has been his inability to impact the game if he’s not the one scoring the ball, but he chipped in with a pair of assists, and also registered a season-high three steals in a clash where defence was lacking on both sides of the court for most of the game.

Gary Clark – 17 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists | 43 SuperCoach points per game
Is Illawarra’s win over Perth in Round 10 the most unlikely victory we’ve seen in NBL24? Few would have expected the then-bottom Hawks to keep Bryce Cotton to just seven points and defeat the high-flying Wildcats.

There have been too many weeks so far this season where Gary Clark has been a lone wolf for the Hawks, but he had plenty of help as he helped guide the team to a historic win against one of the form teams of the competition.

While Clark has no qualms with playing a support role if one of his teammates is getting hot, he’s such a calming leadership presence on the court for the Hawks, and he stood up exactly when he was needed to guide the side home.

The game acted as his second career double-double in the NBL, and he hit half of his threes while also chipping in with five assists and a steal. Leader.

Parker Jackson-Cartwright – 25 points, 6 assists, 2 blocks | 41 SuperCoach points per game
Just how good could this individual performance by Parker Jackson-Cartwright have been if he didn’t find himself in early foul trouble.

The diminutive guard got himself into a first-half shoot out with his Tasmania counterpart Jordon Crawford, and pulled together one of the most efficient shooting nights of his NBL24 season to help keep the Breakers in the game for, to be honest, far longer than they should have been.

His four of eight threes hit means the game was his best shooting night from distance for the season, and he managed to register his first blocks of the season so far – both of which came on Jordon Crawford.

Jordon Crawford – 30 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists | 40 SuperCoach points
If there was one burning question heading into Round 10, it was who was going to step up for Tasmania in the absence of Milton Doyle. Jordon Crawford answered that question, and then some.

The sparkplug scorer has had runs of a quarter, or even a half where he’s just lit the opposition up – but he thrived as the main option on offence for the entirety of the game to have his second-best scoring performance of the season so far.

Tasmania currently has the competition’s best offence so far this season, and the fact that the good times kept rolling even without Doyle is a scary prospect for the rest of the competition.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Jordon Crawford is stepping up in a big way tonight, he&#39;s already dropped 20 points at half time ?<br><br>Watch live on ESPN via Kayo? <a href="https://t.co/aE12GBs5k4">pic.twitter.com/aE12GBs5k4</a></p>&mdash; NBL (@NBL) <a href="https://twitter.com/NBL/status/1733390616699007010?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 9, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Trey Kell III – 21 points, 6 assists, 2 steals | 39 SuperCoach points per game
The claws have been out for Trey Kell in recent games and – given his performances in Adelaide’s recent horror run – that criticism has been warranted.

To steal on of Perth head coach John Rillie’s favourite sayings though, ‘water always finds its level’.

The former South East Melbourne guard shot out of the gates against Cairns, and was quick to re-establish himself as one of the premier all-around offensive threats in the NBL in the first quarter against the Taipans.

His six assists equaled his season-high, and it was the first time he passed 20 points since Round 6.

Kell may have started slowly upon his return from injury a few games ago, but if Saturday is anything to go by, he’s back.
