Big Crowds to Spur on 36ers

Friday, January 20, 2023

The Adelaide 36ers have attained a large fanbase this season with sell-out crowds and record-breaking numbers.

While the Adelaide 36ers' on-court fortunes have been a little up and down during NBL23, there's one thing that's stayed consistent - the incredible support off the court.

With another sell-out on Saturday night, Adelaide will look to lean on their home fans to get them over the line in a must-win clash against Melbourne United.

Import Ian Clark said the team are ready to “take care of business”.

“Being able to be back home and get some energy in front of the crowd is going to be good for us,” he said.

The mid-season signing has been blown away by the local support.

“It’s been great, I’ve been trying my best to take every picture, sign every autograph with the fans so it’s been great. I’m looking forward to seeing them on Saturday,” Clark said.

Adelaide is eighth with an 11-13 record and can’t afford to drop many, if any more games if they want a spot in the finals.

The South Australian side are gearing up for a crucial game, with United having won their last four games.

“Obviously they (Melbourne) don’t want to lose just as much as we don’t. With the standards being really close, every game is important,” he said.

Tip-off is 8:00pm AEDT on Saturday night at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, as the 36ers host Melbourne.
