Will Kings Reid the Play?

Veteran NBL referee Chris Reid is set to share the floor with Sydney Kings coach Chase Buford in the Championship Series, despite the pair’s frosty relationship.

Buford made disparaging remarks about Reid during Game 2 of the Playoff Series, and in a press conference last season.

Buford has openly discussed his need to control his temper in relation to the officiating, and it adds another fascinating layer to the series against the Breakers.

Game 1 of the best-of-five series tips off Friday March 3 at Qudos Bank Arena at 7:30pm AEDT. The game will be broadcast live and free on ESPN via Kayo Freebies, 10 Peach, 10 play, and Sky Sport in NZ.
