Why Lowery is tipping 36ers

Damon Lowery is predicting the Adelaide 36ers to advance to the Playoffs, saying their offence gives them the advantage over the South East Melbourne Phoenix.

The Sixers and Phoenix clash in today’s Play-In Game, with the winner moving onto the Playoffs against the Illawarra Hawks. 

Lowery’s faith in the high-powered Adelaide attack has him believing Mike Wells’ squad will take down South East Melbourne.

“One thing we know is Kendric (Davis), Trez (Montrezl Harrell) and DJ (Vasiljevic), between them three, they’re getting probably 60 shots, and they’re shot makers,” Lowery said on NBL Now.

“I think Adelaide’s offence has the edge. The strength of Owen Foxwell in the backcourt is pressuring the ball full court but that plays into Kendric Davis’ hands. 

“You don’t want to be pressing this dude full court, he is faster than you. He is way more skilled, can handle the ball too good, that’s only going to invite him to penetrate and bring other people into the game, if not get buckets himself.”
