The new NBL golden age?

Bryce Cotton is one of the greatest players to grace the NBL in its near half-century history, and the star Perth import believes the level of competition within the league has reached a never-before-seen level.

Cotton arrived in the NBL midway through the 2017 season, and has since gone on to be named the competition’s MVP three times, an NBL champion three times, and a Grand Final MVP twice.

He’s also been named scoring champion six times, and is a six-time All-NBL First Team selection.

“In my opinion the talent in the NBL has never been better,” Cotton told News Corp. “From an American or foreigner standpoint, as well as locals, I think the league across the board is more talented. I’d like to think I’ve studied a little bit of the league’s history and I think this is the NBL’s golden era.”

NBL24 tips off on Thursday night when Melbourne take on South East Melbourne, while Cotton and the Wildcats will be in action for the first time in the new season on Friday night.
