Kyle Adnam has forged his own successful basketball career in the NBL, and he’s had one of Australia’s top basketball exports in his camp while he’s done so.

Kyle Adnam has forged a successful basketball career in the NBL, and he’s had one of Australia’s top basketball exports in his camp along the journey.

Adnam has formed a strong personal relationship with Boomers and Milwaukee forward Joe Ingles. Ingles’ wife Renae is the sister of Adnam’s partner Anastasia Hallinan.

Ingles is no stranger to the NBL, having played for South Dragons between 2006-2009. In that time he claimed an NBL title, two All-Star selections and Rookie of the Year recognition.

"Joe’s been a massive supporter and a massive behind the scenes influence. He watches a lot of the NBL and he lets me know when I’m doing good and gives me," Adnam told the Herald Sun.

Ingles broke Utah’s three-pointers made record in 2021, surpassing Hall of Famer John Stockton.

After being traded from the Jazz, Ingles will begin his first season as a member of the Bucks’ organisation.

Adnam, on the other hand, has once again been named as a co-captain of the Phoenix.

He has been a star performer across the Hungry Jack's NBL Blitz, scoring 59 points across three games, at an average of almost 20.

South East Melbourne opens its NBL23 campaign on Saturday, October 1 against the Tasmania JackJumpers.
