The Monsta is back

Wednesday, December 11, 2024
"He’s ready to hit the ground running, he’s making no apologies for who he is."
An excited Montrezl Harrell returns to the Adelaide 36ers’ line-up on Saturday night, and he hasn’t kept quiet during his time off.
Harrell is back from a three-game suspension, which was a “chirpy” stint on the sidelines that included several social media posts where he expressed his eagerness to return.
“The Monsta is back. And he’s been chirpy, he’s been missing it,” 2001 NBL Champion Damon Lowery said via NBL Now.
“We didn’t think Trez would miss the league and miss Adelaide as much, but he has been very active on his socials. He’s ready to hit the ground running, he’s making no apologies for who he is.
“What went down, fine. Now he’s ready to ball out.”
Import point guard Kendric Davis returned from suspension last week and had one of his best performances of the season with 37 points and 11 assists.
Lowery praised the 25-year-old’s effort last week and expects the 36ers to take easy care of a falling New Zealand Breakers side who have lost five in a row.
“Kendric Davis is coming off a firecracker of a game, and the New Zealand Breakers are a fraud of a team,” Lowery said.
“So I’m expecting Adelaide to beat the absolute breaks off the Breakers.”
Tip-off between Adelaide and New Zealand is 5:30pm AEDT on Saturday night, live on ESPN.
