A new MVP candidate could be rising in Tasmania, as Milton Doyle put together another match winning performance in Sunday’s win over the Brisbane Bullets.

A new MVP candidate could be rising in Tasmania. Guard Milton Doyle has exploded for the JackJumpers in recent weeks and he put together another match-winning performance in Sunday's victory over Brisbane.

Doyle was a lethal force on the scoreboard as he dropped 33 points at a scarily efficient 60 per cent clip. His dominance carved the path for Tasmania to run away from the Bullets in the 99-84 win.

The import had several moments of sky-high quality, and this performance followed up last week's 23-point masterclass in Melbourne, where he scored 5 points in the final minute to secure the win.

“We did a lot of homework on him to bring him in," coach Scott Roth said of Doyle. "He’s well-travelled, been in a lot of different situations, played in a lot of big games, has a little chip on his shoulder and wanted to come here and prove himself.

Doyle has impressed Roth with his “quiet assassin” persona this seaosn. He's averaging 17.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists for the JackJumpers and leads the team in scoring.

“He fits the culture of what we do here and he’s a quiet assassin, a quiet leader for us, really someone that is steady and reliable. He’s done a fantastic job and I can see nothing but great things ahead for him,” Roth said.

“He’s quite smooth he’s quite versatile, he was guarding terrifically in the second half, he’s a quiet leader but he’s super cerebral and just a play-making kind of guard and was fantastic tonight.”

Tasmania sit at fifth on the ladder with a 7-6 record after Sunday’s win.
