Thursday, August 22, 2024
The Tasmania JackJumpers will be the first team to have a gold logo on their jerseys, in commemoration of the NBL24 championship title.
The Tasmania JackJumpers will commemorate their historic championship with a gold logo on their jerseys for the upcoming season.
In a League first, the JackJumpers and NBL have collaborated to begin this exciting new tradition which will see the gold Hungry Jack’s NBL logo emblazoned on the front of the jerseys of the players from the team that won the championship the previous season.

“Winning a championship is the gold standard for any sports team and we are delighted to recognise such incredible success with a gold Hungry Jack’s NBL logo as a tribute to the best team,” NBL Chief Operating Officer and Head of Basketball Operations Vince Crivelli said.
“The JackJumpers go from being the hunters to the hunted, with all teams no doubt hoping to be wearing the gold logo next season.”
JackJumpers CEO Christine Finnegan said the logo is a badge of honour, and something the players will wear with pride and something the club won’t give up easily.
“We are incredibly proud to be the first team to wear the gold Hungry Jack’s NBL logo; symbolising our achievement as last season’s champions,” she said.
“However, this accomplishment is not just about us - it’s about our entire community, our partners, and the state of Tasmania. The gold logo represents the collective effort that went into our success, and we wear it with pride and humility.”
Fans will be able to purchase the JackJumpers' championship logo jerseys on Wednesday, September 4 at 10:00am AEST on the NBL Store.
The 2024/25 season begins in Perth with the inaugural HoopsFest from September 19-22. The season opener will be a Championship Series re-match between the JackJumpers and Melbourne United at 8:30pm AEST at RAC Arena on Thursday, September 19.
