Taipans Rookie Ruled Out of Round 11

Cairns Taipans rookie Sam Waardenburg has been ruled out for the remainder of Round 11 after entering the NBL's concussion protocols.

Waardenburg was injured in the third quarter against the Brisbane Bullets on Wednesday after a collision with DJ Mitchell. 

He will miss Saturday night’s game against the Tasmania JackJumpers followed by Tuesday night’s game against the Perth Wildcats.

Development player Josh Davey will suit in his place.
