Scheduled selections
Back to six teams on the double this week, which should give a larger variety in teams and scores.
Melbourne and the Phoenix start three straight rounds on the double, while New Zealand and the Sydney Kings have back-to-back doubles - so these four teams will highly dictate our trades this week.
Be conscious of Perth in your trade plans. After this week's single, they start a league-best five straight double rounds and all eyes will be on Bryce Cotton this week, as you would think that news will heavily sway our trade targets heading into Round 6.
Tassie might have the single this week and some are justifiably looking to trade, but with back-to-back doubles again from next week, will you be holding?
Trade targets
Parker-Jackson Cartwright (GRD) NZ $443,700
The highest scoring player for Round 5 and the highest averaging player for season so far. He has two more double-game rounds to come. He is a no brainer.
Xavier Cooks (FWD) SYD $408,400
Sydney is heading into two straight double-game rounds and X is averaging the second highest SuperCoach scores for season. This is despite an illness impacted score of 19 in Round 4.
Matt Hurt (FWD/CTR) SEM $366,900
A little cheaper than the above two options and with that all important dual-position eligibility. Hurt is shining at SEM and is averaging 35.2 SuperCoach points per game. He has double-game rounds for the next three weeks so he should be significantly owned.
Sam Mennenga (FWD/CTR) NZ $163,100
Sam scored 32 SuperCoach points over Round 5 which while not huge, is great production from a $163k dual-position option. He remains a trade target due to two further double-game rounds and the likelihood that he continues to get good minutes in a good role at NZ.
Matt Mooney (GRD) NZ $297,300
We had a Supermoon performance by Matt over Round 5. His 71 SuperCoach points were the second-highest for the round. PJC’s backcourt running mate was filling the stat sheet which is what we like for his SuperCoach scores going forward.
Matthew Dellavedova (GRD) MEL $303,400
After shaking off his own ugly looking leg injury, Delly made the most of Shea Ili missing with injury to record 34 SuperCoach points in equal season-high 33 minutes. Melbourne United start a run of three double-game rounds this week, so the ever-popular Delly will be highly owned we suspect.
Angus Glover (GRD) SEM $101,300
A coaching change and an in-game injury to Walton Jr meant bigger mins for Gus; and boy did he salute with 31 SuperCoach points in the Throwdown on Sunday. The big red flag here is the announcement of yet another coaching change at SEM, but with Walton Jr ruled out, Glover may just be that cheap bench option for the next few rounds.
Benny’s Breakevens
Here are some of the Breakevens of interest heading into Round 6:

Malique Lewis: 15 (2 games)
Cam Oliver: 60 (2 games)
Matt Hurt: 67 (2 games)
Jaylen Adams: 68 (2 games)

Boydie’s questions and answers
Question: Should I trade out Cam Oliver this week?
Answer: Oliver was the number one averaging player in the Blitz and had the most points per minute, despite coming off the bench. However, the twist with Oliver has been the play of other Kings players such as Keli Leaupepe previously, and Kouat Noi last round. This has owners asking “can we please have some more” minutes? The only person seemingly more upset with his lack of court-time than his SuperCoach NBL owners appeared to be Cam himself. Oliver would no doubt be a marquee player in most other NBL rosters, but not with the Kings. He can be traded out this week, but for those hoping for Space Cam to launch again, the Break Even of 60 across two games is something to consider.
Question: Do I bring in Max Darling or Angus Glover to free up cash for other trades?
Answer: Noting the red flag for Glover being the new coach, the injury to Walton Jr has certainly opened up a role with greater usage for Gus. Darling on the other hand may be a trap. Prior to his score of 27 against Perth last round, he had scored 46 SC in total across 18 games played, including his previous high of 11 in Round 2. We think he will average closer to 11 than 27 going forward but if he frees up max cash for you to do a great trade with your second move, we would tick it off. We favour Angus, but if Glover doesn't fit your structure, you can bring in Max Darling.
Question: Are there any concerns about starting Parker Jackson-Cartwright and Matt Mooney together?
Answer: From a role perspective, we think these two can co-exist nicely. Both players can fill up the box score in all areas and both can score well together going forward. Our one concern to raise with you is that you may be forced into trading one or both in Round 8. If you can plan around that, we would sign off Mooney as a secondary guard option, but perhaps you can consider the likes of Dellavedova as an alternative to be able to stagger your trading.
