Scheduled selections

Blokes

The Bullets will continue their league-best schedule, playing six doubles over the next six rounds. Adelaide, Illawarra and New Zealand are all next best with five doubles each during the same six-week span.

It may be time to rid your squad of Melbourne United stock. The only remaining doubles they have this season are during the two golden rounds, in which every team is on a double in round 16 and 17. Perth has the same sparse schedule over the next six weeks.

Are the Kings and JackJumpers sneaking under your radar? After a slower period in the schedule, both teams begin a stretch of four doubles over the next five weeks.

The league in general does not have a slower period in the schedule. Read below to find out what is happening.

Trade targets

Kendric Davis (GRD) ADL $528,600
Davis now has three consecutive 60 SuperCoach point games, each of these are both in the top 50 scores in the modern 40-minute era. The 36ers are about to start an excellent schedule run making Davis a must own player. This might be the week to trade in your Cotton to be able to afford Kendrick.

Jaylen Adams (GRD) SYD $371,200
The alternative to Davis this round is Jaylen Adams. Having worked his way through injury, you can select Jaylen off the back of back-to-back 48 SuperCoach scoring games. Hopefully you can get similar output from Adams this week before potentially working your way up to Davis the week following.

Montrezl Harell (FWD/CTR) ADL $427,000
We tracked Trezz last round and his return was worth the wait. Harrell had his second-highest score of the season with 46 SuperCoach points. We can now select Trezz at a slight discount to last week and hope his monster season continues.

Xavier Cooks (FWD) SYD $375,400
The alternative for those that can’t afford Harrell this week is Xavier Cooks. Cooks has served up only one score under 20 SuperCoach points all season; and hasn’t scored under 31 against this week's opponents. Bringing in Cooks could be your recipe for success this round.

Boydie’s questions and answers

Question: What is happening with the NBL schedule? How do we navigate it as SuperCoaches?

However, this means for our SuperCoach NBL sides, we will need to be organised as there will be short turnaround times between the game opening and closing. Here is what the schedule looks like as far as the time we will need to make our trades.

Round 14 starts: 26 December
Days to trade: <1

Round 14 concludes: 31 December
Round 15 starts: 2 January
Days to trade: 1

Round 15 concludes: 8 January
Round 16 starts: 9 January
Days to trade: <1

Round 16 concludes: 15 January
Round 17 starts: 16 January
Days to trade: <1

Round 17 concludes: 22 January
Round 18 starts: 23 January
Days to trade: <1

Some key things to know is that all of these round’s tip-off on a Thursday. One suggestion is to set a weekly alarm for a trade on a Thursday. For those of us (us) who like to overindulge in the festive season, we need to be wary that we will be making our SuperCoach trades on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Knowing that New Year’s trading resolutions can be short-lived, we suggest some pre-planning. You can look at the scheduliser as part of this article and begin to pre-plan some ideal trades. We have an excel version of a schedule planner on our website for those of you who want to calculate some dollar values for your trades.

Whilst you are at basketballblokes.com you can join the discord group for the latest advice and information. Finally, for those that tune in to our podcast it will be exclusive to the website, where you can sign up for free to listen in for the rest of the season.
