"I’ve been thrown into this unbelievable environment and I’m just going to do as much as I can to improve."

Taran Armstrong’s desire and hunger to learn and improve in the Golden State Warriors’ system has led him to analysing and studying one of the game’s greatest ever players in Steph Curry.

Coming off a standout campaign with the Cairns Taipans, Armstrong signed a two-way deal with the Warriors, and he recently spoke to NBC Sports Bay Area about observing Curry’s ultra detailed warm-up routine and learning anything he can.

“Yeah, I’m hungry to learn,” Armstrong said.

“I’ve been thrown into this unbelievable environment and I’m just going to do as much as I can to improve.

“Obviously, he’s the greatest shooter of all time. From a personal standpoint, I’m trying to get better and see what he’s doing. And as a fan, just being able to witness that is something really, really special.

“I’m never a finished product. There’s always something to learn from anyone, especially from someone like him. There’s a thousand things you can take away.”

As he prepares to make his NBA debut, Armstrong has been plying his trade in the G-League with the Santa Cruz Warriors, averaging seven points, six assists and four rebounds in three appearances.
