Rosen: "Adelaide scares the hell out of me"

"They probably scare the hell out of themselves as well, because you just don’t know what you’re going to get.”

After dropping back-to-back games in Round 19, the Adelaide 36ers are limping towards the Play-in, which makes them impossible to trust according to Brad Rosen.

“No way, not a chance,” he said on NBL Now about having faith in the 36ers.

After winning three straight games to put themselves into the post-season, the 36ers stumbled at home against an injury depleted Brisbane team, in one of their most disappointing results of the season.

“They just didn’t come out ready… I just can’t understand that at this time of year,” Rosen said.

“No one wants to go in with one, two or three losses going into the Play-in.”

Adelaide now heads to Perth to take on a Wildcats team that is looking to finish the season on a high and potentially climb to second spot on the standings if results fall its way.

While the 36ers control their own destiny in sixth spot, if they don’t take care of business this weekend and Tasmania get a convincing win, it could all be over before it even begins.

“I know Kendric’s come out and said that they don’t fear anyone… the only thing I have to say to him is to fear yourselves,” Rucker said ahead of their Round 20 matchup.

“That’s the only thing you should be afraid of, because you are good enough to beat anyone. You’re also at a volatile state that you beat yourselves.”

It has been a rollercoaster of a season for the 36ers for a variety of reasons, yet they have shown many examples of a team that can win it all when it all comes together.

“Adelaide scares the hell out of me,” Rosen said.

“The problem is, they probably scare the hell out of themselves as well, because you just don’t know what you’re going to get.”
