Roberts ready, Armstrong waits

Thursday, October 5, 2023
The Cairns Taipans will welcome in Josh Roberts as they look to bounce back from a disappointing Round 1 loss.
Josh Roberts will debut for the Cairns Taipans on Thursday night, returning from a sprainked ankle suffered in the Hungry Jack's NBL Blitz.
Roberts was initially not expected to play until Saturday, but will be a welcome inclusion for Adam Forde.
The news isn't so good for emerging youngster Taran Armstrong, who will be out until Round 5 with foot soreness.
Tahjere McCall (hip) is already facing an extended spell on the sidelines, while development player Kian Dennis is out with a shoulder injury.
The Taipans will be looking to bounce back from their Round 1 loss against New Zealand, when they host South East Melbourne Phoenix at the Cairns Convention Centre.
Watch all the action live on ESPN via Kayo from 5.30pm AEDT on Thursday night.
