Armstrong's agent Daniel Moldovan told NBL Media the Warriors is the perfect landing spot for his development.
"Taran’s stellar season saw him receive interest from multiple NBA teams towards the end of the NBL season. Golden State is the perfect program for him to develop from within. He has a very bright future," Moldovan said.

Armstrong had a standout campaign for Cairns this season, averaging 17.1 points, 4.7 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game. He scored 20 or more points on eight occasions, showcasing an expanded scoring skillset while maintaining his elite playmaking ability.
The two-way deal means Armstrong will likely split his time with Golden State and its G-League affiliate the Santa Cruz Warriors.
