Report: 36ers to start Davis contract talks

Saturday, December 21, 2024
"Both parties want to talk, that’d be great for our club (re-signing Davis)."
The Adelaide 36ers will begin talks next month on a contract extension for star point guard Kendric Davis, according to Newscorp.
The 36ers and Davis’ representation will meet in January to discuss what a potential long-term deal in Adelaide would look like for the MVP contender.
“Both parties want to talk, that’d be great for our club (re-signing Davis),” 36ers GM of Basketball Matt Weston told Newscorp.
Davis is averaging 23.4 points and 7.2 assists per game this season but with the Sixers losing five of their past six contests, wins are paramount if they wish to stay in the Finals race.
Adelaide hosts its annual Christmas Eve clash on Tuesday against the Brisbane Bullets at 5:30pm AEDT live on ESPN.
