NBL MVP Xavier Cooks is attracting interest from NBA teams, with Newscorp reporting he is a “realistic shot” at signing a 10-day contract.
NBL MVP Xavier Cooks is attracting interest from NBA teams, with Newscorp reporting he is a “realistic shot” at signing a 10-day contract.
As Cooks prepares to lead the Kings in the Championship Series, the NBA remains in the sights of the 27-year-old superstar.
Newscorp’s Matt Logue has reported the “minimum of a 10-day contract has emerged as an option for the NBL’s MVP”, with several teams expressing interest in Cooks.
NBA scouts have flocked to Australia in the past couple of months to get a first-hand look at the NBL, with Cooks high on their agenda.

Cooks has spoken previously about how this offseason presents his final chance to make the NBA and he is determined to make that dream a reality.
Sydney and the New Zealand Breakers go to battle in the best-of-five Championship Series next week.
