Parker Jackson-Cartwright is focused on one thing - an NBL championship.

Any potential doubts over the playing future of Parker Jackson-Cartwright have been put to rest, with the star guard re-affirming his commitment to the New Zealand Breakers.

Jackson-Cartwright grew a strong bond with Mody Maor during his first season at the club, but despite an incredible shared respect, the coach's departure won't stop the the MVP nominee chasing his ultimate goal - an NBL championship.

Speaking via the Breakers' social media channels, the 28-year-old said he's here to stay.

"Breakers, in light of recent events I’d like to put myself out there. I am staying on for the upcoming season," he said. 

"The journey is something I’ve always embraced and I’m happy to be apart of what we’re building. My feelings towards the city, club, and community have stayed content through everything.

"Mody’s contributions shouldn’t be lost as he left a lasting impression. I wish him and his family nothing but the best moving forward.

"Lastly, I look forward to competing and growing with a new group, playing at Spark Arena in front of YOU great fans, expressing myself the best way I know how."

Jackson-Cartwright had a standout first season in the NBL, named in the All-NBL First Team, with averages of 20.6 points a game to go with 5.8 assists and 1.9 steals.

He starred in the Breakers' Play-In game victory against the Sydney Kings, with 34 points.

The American re-signed with New Zealand in April, having spent a short stint with Galatasaray at the conclusion of NBL24.
