The South East Melbourne Phoenix continue to build their roster under new coach Mike Kelly, securing the signature of Gorjok Gak on a one-year deal.
The 27-year-old joins the Phoenix after a season at the Brisbane Bullets, and previous to that, stints in the Czech Republic and American college system, where he represented California Baptist Lancers and the Florida Gators.
Gak played 14.3 minutes a game with the Bullets across NBL23, averaging 4.6 points and 4.1 rebounds.
He joins Mitch Creek, Owen Foxwell, Reuben Te Rangi, Alan Williams, and development player Anzac Rissetto as contracted players for South East Melbourne.
Last week, Kelly highlighted the club's search for local talent.
"We are definitely going after the best locals we can right now – Australians and New Zealand players," he told the club's website.
"We have one import in Alan Williams, so it’s nice to have that locked away. [He’s] a really high-quality person and player.
"Once we have filled in the locals, then we will go after those import spots."
