South East Melbourne's Gorjok Gak has been named as NBL1 West's Defensive Player of the Year.

South East Melbourne’s Gorjok Gak has continued to dominate NBL1 West this off-season, rewarded with a place in the All-NBL1 Conference First Team.
Gak represented Willeton 21 times across this season, en route to the Tigers’ third-place regular season finish.

He averaged 19 points and 11.9 rebounds, as he also won the competition’s Defensive Player of the Year award.
Former Brisbane Bullet Devondrick Walker was named as the league MVP following his Rockingham side’s first place finish.
The NBL1 West finals kick off this weekend. Gak’s Tigers will take on NBL23 champion Isaac Gattorna’s Geraldton Buccaneers in one of the two qualifying finals on Saturday, July 29.
